Meet Luna Belle

Rusty old trailer in grassy field, clear blue sky. the inspiration for The Derby Bar, mobile bar services, Northville, MI

For years, the old horse trailer sat abandoned, its once-glossy blue paint faded and rust taking over its body. It had carried champions once, but now it was forgotten by time in the tall grass of a Michigan farm.

Then came Anna. She saw not a relic, but an opportunity— to give this old trailer a new purpose.

She imagined restoring it, stripping away the rust, polishing the chrome, and painting it the purest white. Stalls would become shelves lined with bourbon and champagne, an oak bar would take center stage, and golden lights would illuminate the interior. Luna Belle would be born.

That was the vision anyway… but reality had other plans.

We searched everywhere for the perfect vintage trailer, only to find them too damaged, too costly, or already claimed by those with the same vision. Time slipped away, expenses grew, and frustration set in. Eventually, we faced a hard truth: if we couldn’t restore a piece of history, we’d build our own.

So, we started fresh—cutting, welding, painting, and crafting a new trailer. It wasn’t the romantic revival we’d envisioned, but it was ours. Luna Belle still came to life—just not the way we first imagined.

Maybe this was always how it was meant to be.. Luna is new and her stories have not yet been written. But we are excited to see where she goes from here.
